FFS (FORM -FILL-SEAL) MACHINE FOR DRINK CUPS

form-fill-seal technology for drink cups

The Form-Fill-Seal technology – starting from two reels of material, one of thermoformable plastic film that can be mono- or multi-layer (e.g. PS, PET, PP, PS/ EVOH/PE, but not only) for the container, and one of lid film sealable on the plastic web, - allows producing finished packages that are formed, filled with product and sealed in a unique process.

HOW IT WORKS

The high-quality of the package is ensured through a skilful thermoforming technique obtained by the combined action of special heating electrodes used to heat the film, shaped forming plugs and air pressure in the mould that grant the best thermoforming performance even with critical plastic materials.

Over 80 aseptic machines supplied worldwide, with characteristics – from ultrahigh productivity to an innovative sterilisation system – that make them the most appealing drink and dairy product packaging solution This is the aseptic FFS (form-fill-seal) technology, to produce, fill and package its range of drink capsules.

ASEPACK series available in fully aseptic version.

In just one single process the machine carries out thermoforming of the capsule, aseptic filling and pack closure. special sterilisation system incorporated in the FFS which acts at various levels of the manufacturing cycle. Above all, this means supersterilisation of the materials the capsule is made up of by way of hydrogen peroxide misting; then, the entire pack forming, filling and sealing process takes place in a sterile environment, the only residue being - after heating - the water vapour.

By coupling capsule-type machines with purified natural water distributors consumers can, in fact, obtain a broad variety of hot, cold and CSD beverages (the new capsule range offers up to 24 different flavours, with the new installed line offering an output potential of no less than 1 million capsules a day).

Productions:
hourly output rate in the order of 50,400 pieces (capacity capsule from 15 to 50 ml, in PS-EVOH-PE, thickness between 0.8 and 1.2 mm, protected with ALU-PET film).
